Mr. Purcell is widowed and remarried. He currently resides in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, with his wife Patti, an Advanced Practice Nurse who teaches nursing at one of the major universities in northeast Ohio. His stepson Brandon is pursuing his masters degree in economics, and his stepson Cory is attending the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
In his free time, Mr. Purcell was honored to have been invited to conduct in-person interviews on behalf of Steven Spielberg's Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation of holocaust survivors and many of the remaining living Americans who were prosecutors at the Nuremberg War Crimes trials. He also provides pro bono legal services as an assigned attorney to many volunteer guardians through Adult Guardianship Services, a non-profit organization comprised of people who sacrifice their time to be guardians for people who need guardians but have no family or friends to serve in this role. Kevin also plays the guitar and enjoys song writing and music composition.
